Kardashians, Kanye West & Baby North Visit Armenia [Photos]
The Kardashian family has traveled cross-country to visit their ancestral homeland in Armenia. [FYI: Kris Jenner, the Kardashian sisters’ mother, is of Dutch, English, and Scottish ancestry. Their late father was a third-generation Armenian American.]
Those taking in the sights and sounds of Armenia include Kim Kardashian and hubby Kanye West, along with North; Khloe Kardashian and and their two cousins Kourtni and Kara. The famous sisters are filming for their E! show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
They arrived earlier this week and have documented their excursion on Instagram. Khloe posted photos of her at the Mother Armenia statue in Yerevan, writing:
Visiting the Mother Armenia statue today in Yerevan. The Mother Armenia statue symbolises peace through strength. It can remind viewers of some of the prominent female figures in Armenian history. Who took up arms to help their husbands in their clashes with Turkish troops and Kurdish irregulars. I am woman hear me roar! Blessed to be here!!!
The gang has also visited Geghard Monastery, the Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and the Provence Restaurant (in Yerevan).
As expected, they’ve been swarmed by both fans and press. Kim posted a photo of them being greeted by a massive crowd (see above), with the caption:
Armenia we are here!!!!! We are so grateful to be here & start this journey of a lifetime! Thank you to everyone who greeted us! I can’t wait to explore our country and have some yummy food! ?????????? #MyDadAndGrandParentsWouldBeSoProud
