(EXCLUSIVE) Drake – Music Company Demands $117K in Rappers Royalties From Cash Money Records
The company explains that “Take Care” sold over 2.5 million copies and made Cash Money millions of dollars in profits.
However, the company says when they approached the record label for accounting on the album they never received a response, despite multiple attempts. As of October 2014, MFMNG Productions says that they were owed $117,364.72 in royalties. The lawsuit says Cash Money never sent them a check for the amount owed. MFMNG Productions is suing Cash Money and Young Money over the unpaid $117K along with damages for their breach of contract. See the exclusive court docs.
