But other than that, we really support each other. ‘Chocolate City’ is doing really well, and I have a new film coming out called ‘What Love Will Make You Do’ premiering at the American Black Film Festival. Following that, I have a huge film coming out called ‘Sons 2 The Grave’, which will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival, and most of all, I’m all over America with my book, which is called ‘Ain’t That The Truth.’
ON HIS FEUD WITH COLUMBUS SHORT:
It really wasn’t an issue – it was me acting up. It was me…you know, I was tired of people saying, ‘I hated you in ‘Stomp the Yard”, and I kind of took [it] out on Columbus at a time that wasn’t really good for anybody to be taking anything out on him because he had his own problems. I’m a part of the M.A. Lee Scholarship Fund, and we give away enough scholarships to send 20 people to college. And this lady, after we gave her this scholarship, she was like…instead of saying thank you for giving my daughter a scholarship, she was like, ‘I hated you in ‘Stomp the Yard”. And I saw online something was going on again with Columbus, and I said, ‘Who’s the bad guy now?’ And that kind of started it all, but it was really frustration from being tired of people saying, ‘I hated you in ‘Stomp the Yard’. You didn’t hate me, you hated the character. So it was kind of like a non-humble moment I had.
