Sandra Bland Laid to Rest

Sandra Bland, the 28-year-old woman who was found dead in her Texas jail cell, has been laid to rest in Lisle, Illinois. On July 10^th, according to authorities, she was pulled over and later arrested for not signaling to change lanes and being combative with a state trooper in the Texas’ Waller County. Bland, a Illinois native, had recently relocated to Texas preparing to start a new job at her alma matter, Prairie Valley A&M University. Bland was mysteriously discovered hanging from a noose, made of a plastic trash bag, in her jail cell just three short days after her arrest.
