Unarmed Black College Football Player Killed By Police After Burglarizing Dealership [VIDEO]
Just two days shy of the anniversary of Mike Brown’s death another unnamed African-American male has been shot and killed by police. Arlington police officer-trainee Brad Miller, 49, shot and killed Christian Taylor, a 19-year-old football player at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Tex., early Friday morning.
Taylor was allegedly attempting to burglarize a Classic Buick GMC dealership when police killed him. Reportedly, he drove his Jeep through the dealership, triggering a burglar alarm. The surveillance company watched the video stream live and was said to have asked Taylor to leave the property and that they were calling police.
When officers arrived on scene just after 1 a.m., they say Taylor had already smashed through a gate with his SUV, driven through the glass, and up into the showroom of the dealership.
Arlington Police Sergeant Paul Rodriguez says officers confronted the man and there was an altercation.
