Rita Ora Had A Relationship With A 26 Year Old Man When She Was 14
Back in 2013, X Factor judge and popstar Rita Ora, revealed on Amanda de Cadanet’s Lifetime show The Conversation, that she was sexually abused at the age of 14 by a 26-year-old man. The interview came up in Rita’s unauthorized biography titled, Hot Right Now, which unearthed the interview from a few years ago. In the shocking sit down, Rita goes on to discuss her relationship with the older man, why she doesn’t want people to think she was a victim and her mixed views on men. Check out a few experts form the interview below.
On her first relationship:
I was 14 when I had my first relationship with a guy…I would say [he was] about 26, and you have to remember I hadn’t had a relationship before then at all. I was very new to the whole world of a man and a female. Its child abuse really, isn’t it?
On why she doesn’t consider herself a victim:
I don’t want to say that I suffered it, because I wanted it. I don’t want to say that I was forced to do it. I don’t want people to think I was abused as a kid but I was definitely more mature than I should have been at 14.
