On her pies being sold out in most places:

I’ve sold a lot of pies …You can still buy a pie. I don’t have any for Thanksgiving….They hafta be specific potatoes from LA or somewhere…I asked Oprah if she had potatoes on her farm….I’ve been cooking for maybe sixty years…I’ve been cooking for a long time.

On always being camera-ready, to snap a photo with a fan: 

When Patti gets up…I make sure I’m clean. You will never catch me at the super market looking — I love to dress and I love to good look for the people to see me in my stores. Not in public, but at home, honey….
