Nelly Pleads Guilty to Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana & Drug Para, Sentenced to Year Probation
As previously reported, earlier this year, Nelly and his tour bus were pulled over by the Tennessee Highway Patrol for not displaying required federal transportation and fuel tax stickers.
A trooper said he smelled marijuana on the bus and conducted a search. In the sleeper area, troopers said they found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana, plus a plastic bag that contained a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Nelly was charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say further testing showed the substance was not methamphetamine, and the felony charge was dropped.
