Jada Pinkett-Smith: Should people boycott the Oscars? + Kat Graham to Play Actress In Tupac Biopic
Should people of color avoid the Oscar’s completely? In a recent social media post made by Jada Pinkett-Smith, the 44-year-old actress suggests that perhaps folk should not participate at all. She writes:
At the Oscars…people of color are always welcomed to give out awards…even entertain, but we are rarely recognized for our artistic accomplishments. Should people of color refrain from participating all together? People can only treat us in the way in which we allow.
With much respect in the midst of deep disappointment, J.
To date, Jada has received an Image Award, Teen Choice Award and People’s Choice Award.
And in totally un-related news, actress Kat Graham will play Jada in the upcoming biopic about the late Tupac Shakur, “All Eyez on Me”. Kat is known for her work on CW’s “The Vampire Diaries”. The film is currently shooting in Atlanta.
