Marlon Wayans Compares Stacey Dash to Donald Trump, Says Chris Rock Should Wear White Face to Oscars
Comedian Marlon Wayans stopped by The Wendy Show to talk about his new movie, ‘Fifty Shades of Black’ and the Oscar diversity controversy. Marlon spoke about the Oscar controversy, saying,
First of all, it’s called the Oscars. It’s named after a white guy, it’s not like it’s called the Jamal’s, you know.
He added that Chris Rock, who is hosting the show, will be fine,
I think if he does host he should come out in white face so he belongs there….No…because the thing is, I think he’s fine hosting because he’s the perfect guy. They’re giving him ammunition, he’s going to light it up, he’s great every year. He’s a professional and you know, it’s not the first time this has happened. Every year is pretty much a whiteout. We’re going to keep on doing what we’re doing. We’re going to make more movies, this invigorates back people.
He also weighed in on Stacey Dash and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s recent comments.
Stacey’s Stacey. I love her. I did Mo’ Money with Stacey 20 years ago. I think this was before she became a Republican. She says the craziest things, she’s like the Donald Trump of black people, you know. She’s that person that says that embarrassing thing like, oh God, come on Stacey.
Marlon added that Jada is one of his good friends,
She’s like the anti-Stacey Dash. Jada is very opinionated and very strong minded. I hear what she’s saying and she’s right. I know what you’re saying, you’re going to do it this year when Will’s not nominated. She’s his wife.
Marlon stood up and joked as if he was Jada,
She was like, no, you ain’t going to do my husband like this. We’re boycotting this. No! No! We’ll have the babies crying. I’m writing Mr. Oscar, we’re going to see about this.
When it came to discuss ‘Fifty Shade Of Grey’ and his new movie, ‘Fifty Shades of Black’, Marlon admitted he didn’t read all the books.
I read one and I was like, this dude is corny.
He joked,
The stuff he was doing was basic. I did that in like the seventh grade.
