Meek Mill Gets House Arrest
No jail time for Meek Mill (real name Robert Williams). On Friday, a Philadelphia judge ruled that the 28-year-old rapper must serve three months of house arrest for violating his parole last fall.
According to the Associated Press, he will be prohibited from working and may only leave his home to do community service benefiting adults rather than youths.
Common Pleas judge Genece Brinkley also extended his probationary period to six years.
Prosectors argued that he violated his parole by making unapproved trips, including one to New York for a concert and several to meet girlfriend Nicki Minaj around the country.
Meek has yet to comment.
