Former Reality Star PreMadonna’s Waist Gang Society Being Sued
It’s no secret, the popularity for waist trainers has grown tremendously over the past few years. Follow any of your favorite celebrities, and you’ll see a weekly post of them promoting their favorite waist trainer. Unfortunately, one of the more popular brands — Waist Gang Society — is being hit with a lawsuit, according to TMZ.
The brand is reportedly owned by PreMadonna, who was a regular a few seasons ago on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
A plethora of celebs have co-signed Waist Gang Society, including the Kardashian and Jenner sisters, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Cynthia Bailey, singer/radio personality Lil Mo and others.
The site reports that the lawsuit claims the advertising for the product is misleading, quoting a doctor who says,
Corsets do not cause you to permanently lose fat in the midsection: they cause a re-distribution of the fat and organs in the trunk.
It promises to give consumers an hourglass figure. However, some feel that they have not received the results that are promised by the product. We’ve reached out to Premadonna. So far, no response.
