Piers Morgan isn’t the only critic of Beyonce’s new album, Lemonade. According to Bossip, Iggy Azalea is also taking issue with it.

I see her side of it but in our culture we deal with that all the time Iggy. Don’t take it personal its just what we deal with as a Black Woman. I remember seeing lil black girls on TV wishing they had prettier hair or wanting their skin to be lighter..so its just we deal with…sad but true..

This is why Iggy is seen as a cultural appropriator. She knows nothing about the music or culture he’s using enrich herself. If she knew anything about rap at all she would know that 1) Beyoncé did NOT invent the term 2) she’s not even the 50th person to use it in verse this year alone! Seriously Iggy where have you been?
I didn’t see the video, but from the hype of it all, I really didn’t need to. I have a daughter who is lightskin with “good hair.” I am black. I don’t take offense to that statement. It’s called freedom of speech. Beyonce said what she felt, but on the other hand. Beyonce wears blonde weave, is lightskinned, skinny and loves her some Gwyneth Paltrow. So, she is brainwashed her dam self.
You’re just as ignorant as Iggy. What the hell does being skinny, wearing blonde hair and having a GREAT friend, who just so happens to be white, have anything to do with being brainwashed? Girl bye.
The only people taking offense to anything in the album are the ones who are feeling guilty about something that reflexes who they are. Just listen to the music and stop taking it personally. It’s her being the artist she is!!
