Oprah Bacon, Energy Drinks & Caviar! Details On New Venture, Oprah’s Kitchen
Oprah Winfrey continues to build her massive empire. The talk show maven turned network queen is expanding our kitchen. Earlier this month, she quietly filed federal paperwork to secure trademarks over a cornucopia of foods under the name Oprah’s Kitchen, according to the New York Daily News.
Reportedly, the applications cover a supermarket’s worth of products, such as basic staples like dairy, meat, fish, processed and preserved foods, spices, juices, water, lemonade, baked goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, but also speciality items such as cut flowers, beer and energy drinks. We hear, Winfrey is considering a line of Oprah bacon, baked beans, sorbet, caviar and other tasty items. The trademark is reportedly a move to allow her to create a number of products.
Oprah is a media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011.
Dubbed the “Queen of All Media”, she has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and is currently North America’s first and only multi-billionaire black person. Several assessments regard her as the most influential woman in the world. She has yet to comment on her latest business venture. [New York Daily News]
