Nick Cannon Addresses Rumors He’s Holding Up Divorce to Mariah Carey

Nick Cannon is back hosting America’s Got Talent, but recent rumors regarding his divorce from Mariah Carey is what everyone is buzzing about. Nick spoke with Extra’s AJ Calloway to set the record straight on the rumors. Nick explained,

There’s nothing to tell… the media has a problem of sensationalism… me and Mariah get along great, and it’s a process, nobody is holding nothing up. Why would I hold it up? I want her to be happy.

Cannon had nothing but love for his ex, gushing,

She is such a beautiful spirit, and we put the kids first.

As for this season of “AGT,” Nick commented,

I’m loving it man… Simon’s there, he’s having a lot of fun, so he brings a new energy.

Simon’s energy is quite different from Howard Stern’s, who exited the show last year. Cannon shared,

[Simon] has his own thing too, it’s still just a great show. That shows the power of the show, even when you switch two dominant forces like that, you still have the same great show.
