Mike Epps Reacts to ‘Uncle Buck’ Cancellation
ABC’s midseason comedy Uncle Buck will not return for Season 2. The news was confirmed by two of the series stars James Lesure and Mike Epps. Epps posted a message on Instagram thanking fans.

The Universal TV-owned series had respectable ratings over its four-week eight-episode run. It improved its hour for ABC vs comparable weeks last year with original programming (first hour of Extreme Weight Loss) by 81% in total viewers (3.8 million vs. 2.1 million) and doubled the slot in adults 18-49 (1.2/4 vs. 0.6/2).
Uncle Buck is comedy television series based on the 1989 movie of the same name that debuted on ABC as an entry in the 2015–16 television season. The series was created for television by Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley.
