Mary J. Blige Says Divorce Feels ‘Terrible’, Debuts New Track “Thick Of It” [New Music]

After recently teasing fans on stage with her newest track, “Thick of It”, Mary J. Blige releases the official track.

Blige confirms what some speculate — her new music, this track included, will address her split from her husband manager, Kendu Isaacs. As previously reported, in July, she filed for divorce, after 12 years of marriage. Blige explains,

If you know me, you know what I’m dealing with right now. The ‘Thick of It’ is the divorce and all this stuff that’s going on right now. It’s the heaviness of it and the whole thing.

She adds,

That’s where I am. I’m in the middle of a divorce and it doesn’t feel good. It feels terrible, but I have strength to get through and I get through by any means necessary.
