On Friday, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama ended their final musical night with BET’s “Love and Happiness” event, at the White House. Held on the South Lawn performers included: Jill Scott Usher, The Roots, Bell Biv DeVoe, Janelle Monae, De La Soul, Yolanda Adams, Michelle Williams and Kiki Sheard.
Celebs in attendance included: Samuel L. Jackson, Jesse Williams, Angela Bassett, Terrence J, Regina Hall, Angie Martinez, Quest Love, DJ D-Dnice (who DJ’ed the after party), Naturi Naughton and a few other famous faces. BET will broadcast the show on Nov. 15.
One of the more memorable moments of the evening was the festive after-party. While there’s a strict no-phone policy, Usher managed to Snapchat Obama dancing to Drake. Here’s the clip.
