Memphitz Loses “Love & Hip Hop” Lawsuit Appeal, Over K.Michelle Domestic Violence Claims
Memphitz Loses “Love & Hip Hop” Lawsuit Appeal
Memphitz (real name Mickey Wright, Jr.) has taken an L in court. This week, the Georgia Court of Appeals denied the music producer’s appeal in a defamation case against the producers of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta”.
In 2012, he filed a lawsuit alleging that he was defamed during the first season of the hit VH1 show. He claimed that one of the show’s cast mates, K.Michelle whom he once dated, made slanderous comments by accusing him of physical abuse and embezzlement.
While she never said his name on the show, it was alluded by the media that Memphitz was who she was referring to. Memphitz has publicly denied her accusations.
Memphitz has yet to comment on losing the appeal.
