Chrisette Michele Invited To Perform at Trump’s Inauguration + Gospel Artists Travis Greene & Jonathan McReynolds
Trump Invites Chrisette Michele To Inauguration
Plans are still underway to secure the entertainment for Donald Trump’s inauguration. According to reports, R&B singer Chrisette Michele has been invited to perform for the festivities. Reportedly, gospel singers Travis Greene and Jonathan McReynolds have also been invited. A rep for Greene stated,
It’s not confirmed yet, but it’s something that was shot to us and it’s in the works.
Chrisette nor Jonathan have yet to comment.
In other inauguration news, Broadway singer and actress Jennifer Holliday has decided against performing. She shared that she did not realize that her participation would be interpreted as a statement of support for President-elect Trump. See her statement below.
My only choice must now be to stand with the LGBT Community and to state unequivocally that I WILL NOT PERFORM FOR THE WELCOME CONCERT OR FOR ANY OF THE INAUGURATION FESTIVITIES! Please know that I HEAR YOU and I feel your pain. The LGBT Community was mostly responsible for birthing my career and I am deeply indebted to you,” she added. “You have loved me faithfully and unconditionally and for so many years you provided me with work even though my star had long since faded.
