Mariah Carey Defends Nick Cannon

Mariah Carey is defending Nick Cannon. Over the weekend, the 47-year-old singer posted a social media message defending her 36-year-old ex husband, whom she shares two children with. She wrote:

There’s no validity or truth to the false allegations looming in the press regarding our family.

She added,

Nick is the father of my children, we will always stand up for each other, have each other’s backs and we will always remain a strong family.

There’s speculation that Mariah’s message is in response to the alleged story that the National Enquirer had planned to run. The rumored story was said to claim that Mariah was concerned over Nick’s mental health and that she was considering suing him for full custody of their 5-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.
