Faith Evans Opens Up About Split With Stevie J

In a new interview, Faith Evans is spilling the tea on her relationship with Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star Stevie J. Last year, rumors surfaced that the pair dated quietly after his relationship with LHHA co-star Joseline Hernandez  ended. Check out a few excerpts of Faith dishing on their relationship, appearing on his reality show and if she had any issues with ex-girlfriend and newest baby mother Hernandez.

On getting out of the friend zone with Stevie J: 

I recently went through that with Stevie J. I did date him but there was a long period of time I couldn’t fathom that thought. I never had that thought. Even when he tried to really holla at me, it took months of him convincing me that he was trying to be different.

On Stevie going hard for her: 

He was going really, really hard for me to even consider dating him. We had such a good friendship that was 100% platonic for so many years.

On why Faith never saw beyond friendship with Stevie J: 

I always had a lot of male friends. I still do. I never dated either of them. I think I should have been a boy. But we were such great friends. I never saw him in that way.

On what made her finally take him serious: 

I’ve been married most of my adult life. I never really dated until the last 4 years. It was weird for me but he said ‘he loved me’ and said ‘I been there for him. ‘He said everything that was true, but it did not mean we should be together. I know many reasons we shouldn’t be together. He even convinced my friends that we should be together.

On appearing on his reality show: 

The horse and carriage was part of the show. Not to say our relationship was fake. The relationship did not play out on TV time. It was not an eight episode thing. I was gonna be on his show either way. We ended up actually dating. They asked me to be on the whole season. I told them (producers) I will be on for a couple of episodes. I filmed on prior to taking him serious.

On her relationship with his kids: 

We always gonna have a great relationship.

On if she still has feelings for him: 

I will always have love for Stevie, even though he is not ready for me.

 On possibly giving Stevie J a second chance: 

He is very charming. I wouldn’t know how to answer that because… I doubt it. Not saying there won’t be a time where we hook up in the next few years. I don’t know. That’s if someone don’t snatch me up.

On if she had any problems with Joseline Hernandez: 

No! No one in the media ever asked me that question besides the people on the side. Honestly, I don’t think there would be a reason to. At least not for me, because Stevie and I were always friends. I met her by the way of being with him. I actually supported them.

On if was he was in another relationship when he was dating her: 

To my understanding when I decided to date him, he was not with anybody. He knows I would never date him if he is in any relationship. He knows I am not that kind of girl.

On dating him after his relationship with Joseline was over: 

He tried to talk to me fresh off dating [Joseline] and he has told me about every relationship he has been in. It was definitely a challenge for me to consider it.
