Kobe Bryant Dishes On Having 3 Daughters: Guys tease me for not having boys.
Kobe Bryant Talks Fatherhood
Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is making the most out of retirement, spending his time in full “daddy mode”, vacating with his three daughters and wife Vanessa. Last December, the couple of 16 years welcomed Bianka, their third child. Almost 7 months old already, she is doing “awesome.” Gushing over his wife and her maternal instincts, Kobe says,
Vanessa has been a trooper, because she knows Bianca is one of the babies that doesn’t really like the bottle… So Vanessa has been soldiering up.
Kobe is helping her when he can during those late-night feedings, commenting,
Some nights are hit and miss, you know? Some nights, she’ll give you a good six hours. Other nights, she’ll give you three and wake up, feed, and go back to sleep.
The 38-year-old is happily outnumbered by the women in his house.
Well, it’s pretty cool for me ’cause its Daddy’s little princesses. Guys keep teasing me. My friends say, ‘It takes a real man to make a boy.’ I’m like, ‘Dude, it takes a king to make a princess… get in line.’
Since retiring from the NBA, Kobe has been working with 11-year-old Gianna on her b-ball skills at home.
Yeah, she’s pretty fierce… She came to me last summer and asked if I would teach her the game a little bit, so she just started playing.
His oldest daughter, Natalia, 14, is more into volleyball, but “also loves film.” He added,
Her and I can sit down for hours and just watch film after film after film after film… Natalia’s a great volleyball player and Gianna’s great at basketball, great at soccer.
Kobe brought major intensity to the court during his days as a Laker, but keeps his cool on the sidelines of his kids’ games, saying,
I’m pretty chill, I’m chill, I’m chill… Our sidelines are pretty relaxed.
