Kofi Siriboe Credits God’s Timing For Recent Success
Life is good for Kofi Siriboe. And according to the 23-year-old actor, this is all because of God. Last week, Kofi had a break-out role in “Girls Trip”, starring Jada Pinkett-Smith, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish. He also stars in the Ava DuVernay produced OWN series, “Queen Sugar”.
Prior to Queen Sugar, the LA native (whose parents were born in Ghana), was a model, signed with Wilhelmina Models New York and Vision Los Angeles. In film, he debuted playing supporting role in the 2008 comedy-drama, The Longshots. He later appeared in films Prom (2011), Whiplash (2014), and Straight Outta Compton (2015). On TV, he guest-starred on Lincoln Heights and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. From 2014 to 2015, he had a recurring role in the MTV comedy-drama series, Awkward.
Recently, Kofi reflected on his success tweeting on social media,
on God’s timing, always. 2 years ago, I was auditioning in LA, dreaming of now…Girl’ Trip did $30 million.
He added,
Oprah (Winfrey) and Ava (DuVernay) are my bosses & I’m on set filming QS as I type.
