Bobbi Kristina Estate Suing TV One Over Movie
TV One is now facing heat over their upcoming made for TV movie about Bobbi Kristina Brown. According to a report, Bobbi Kristina’s estate has teamed up with Bobby Brown to sue the network. They claim that the movie violates the deceased’s right to privacy, which they claim even survives her death.
As previously reported, Bobby is suing and seeking over $1,000,000 in damages, alleging that the movie contains scenes that show him being violent towards his late wife, singer Whitney Houston. The biopic is said to suggest that Bobbi Kristina witnessed the abuse. [Click here for the backstory.] Reportedly, the estate and Bobby are requesting more than $2 million in damages. They also want a judge to block the airing of the movie.
The network tells us exclusively,
We are aware of the reported legal challenge by Bobby Brown regarding the film Bobbi Kristina and are taking appropriate steps on behalf of our network to respond. While we are not able to address our legal response at this time, we stand by the film and its representation of this period in Bobbi Kristina’s life.
