‘Get Out’ Submitted As A Comedy At Golden Globes, Some Fans Are Pissed
Controversy followed after news hit that the Jordan Peele directed horror-satire, “Get Out”, will compete as a comedy at the upcoming Golden Globe Awards.
The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Stephen Root, Lakeith Stanfield, and Catherine Keener. The film follows a young interracial couple who visit the woman’s parents, uncovering a conspiracy whereby young black adults are being captured. It was produced by Sean McKittrick, Jason Blum, Edward H. Hamm Jr., and Peele.
Many (including Peele) reacted to the category submission, disagreeing that it was considered a comedy.
