Dave East Accused of Stealing Artist Design & Selling It As Merch
A St. Louis artist claims that Dave East stole his artwork and is using it on some of his merchandise that he is now selling. An artist who goes by the name Rell Brodie says that he drew/designed a photo of the rapper and presented it to him at a concert/club. He says that East was so impressed with his artwork that he told him that he was putting it in his home.
Brodie says that he recently discovered that East was selling a t-shirt that featured the design that he made for him. Brodie says that he was not credited nor did he give him permission to use his design. He also says that he is not interested in being compensated but thinks that it’s not fair that his work is being used without his consent. Brodie made his claims on social media and says that East has blocked him. See his allegations below.
