Tia Mowry Gives An Update On “Sister, Sister” Reboot
Tia Mowry is giving fans an update on the potential of a ‘Sister, Sister’ reboot. Responding to speculation that a reboot is underway she says,
Hey guys! Been seeing loads of tweets about Sister, Sister reunion. I hate to say it, but I have no NEW news to report to you. Sis and I have been trying to get this going as we still are, BUT no NEW news. Trust, you will hear it from us first if it’s a solid go.
Last year, Tia revealed that plans were underway for the reboot stating,
[It’s] amazing and wonderful. My sister and I are taking meetings as we speak, so it’s definitely closer than ever to making this reboot happen. We are being told that they want it to be or happen next year in the fall. So, it’s going by so fast, everything.
As for the new concept, Tia stated,
I’d like it to be where we are in our lives right now. We’re moms with children, but I would like for the show to really focus on sisterhood and the strengths and weaknesses of sisterhood.
Sister, Sister starred identical twins Tia and Tamera Mowry and premiered on April 1, 1994, and concluded after airing six seasons on May 23, 1999. The premise of the show was that the girls (playing characters Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell) were separated and adopted at birth. One was adopted by a single mother while the other was adopted by a couple, although the mother died a short time later. The two accidentally found each other fourteen years later and reunited.
Created by Kim Bass, Gary Gilbert and Fred Shafferman, the series was produced by de Passe Entertainment and Paramount Network Television. The cast, along with Tia and Tamera Mowry, also featured Jackee Harry as Tia’s mother, Tim Reid as Tamera’s father, and Marques Houston as their annoying neighbor. RonReaco Lee and Deon Richmond joined the main cast in the fifth season.

It was a really good show. I wonder if they are going to bring Roger back too?!
I would definitely watch with my kids.
I would like to see Tyreek and Deon back as well. I always wanted Lisa with Ray, but I was ok with how it ended.
