‘The Chi’ Renewed For Season 2

Congratulations to Lena Waithe and Common. The duo’s hit Showtime series, The Chi, has been renewed for a second season.

The show is created and executive produced by Waithe, with Common also EP’ing the series. The series is described as,

Following a fateful turn of events that sends shockwaves through a community on the Southside of Chicago and connects the lives of Emmett, Brandon, Ronnie and Kevin in unexpected ways.

The ensemble cast includes Jason Mitchell (Mudbound, Straight Outta Compton), Jacob Latimore (Sleight), Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Queen of Katwe), Alex Hibbert (Moonlight), Yolonda Ross (Treme, The Get Down), Armando Riesco (Bull) and Tiffany Boone (The Following).
