Victoria Beckham – I’m Not Going On Tour & Neither Are The “Spice Girls”
Issa No. Victoria Beckham shut down speculation that the Spice Girls were taking their talents on tour. The 43-year-old singer turned designer stated,
I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.
Earlier this month, members of the group excited fans when they posted several pictures of all four Spice Girls reunited at Geri Horner’s house. Beckham says of the group coming together,
It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.
When asked what the plans are for the group she explains,
There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming.
The Spice Girls are an English pop girl group formed in 1994. The group originally consisted of Melanie Brown (“Scary Spice”), Melanie Chisholm (“Sporty Spice”), Emma Bunton (“Baby Spice”), Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice”), and Victoria Beckham, née Adams (“Posh Spice”). They were signed to Virgin Records and released their debut single “Wannabe” in 1996, which hit number one in 37 countries and established them as a global phenomenon. The Spice Girls have sold 85 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling female group of all time, one of the best-selling pop groups of all time, and the biggest British pop phenomenon since Beatlemania.
