‘Den Of Thieves’ Sequel In The Works
A “Den Of Thieves” sequel is in the works. According to reports, a sequel will be distributed by STX worldwide and financed by Diamond Film Productions. The original heist film was written, directed and produced by Christian Gudegast. It starred Gerard Butler, 50 Cent, Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Evan Jones, Dawn Olivieri, Mo McRae and Max Holloway. In the story, an elite group of County Sheriff Deputies look to stop a gang of thieves planning to rob the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles. The film was released in the United States on January 19, 2018, received mixed reviews and grossed $57 million worldwide.
Jackson Jr is said to be in negotiations to return and star in the project. Reportedly, “Den of Thieves 2″ will find Big Nick (Butler) on the hunt in the streets of Europe closing in on Donnie (Jackson Jr.) who is embroiled in the dangerous world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s biggest diamond exchange.
50 Cent will produce through his production company G-Unit Film & Television, Inc.
