Tina Turner Still Dreams Of Abusive Ex Ike Turner

Tina Turner forgives her ex husband, Ike Turner, for physically and verbally abusing their during their marriage. She explains in a recent interview,

As an old person, I have forgiven him, but it would not work with him. He asked for one more tour with me, and I said, ‘No, absolutely not.’ Ike wasn’t someone you could forgive and allow him back in. It’s all gone, all forgotten.

Ike has since passed, he died in 2007, but she still has dreams about him.

I don’t know what the dreams are about. The dreams are still there — not the violence, the anger. I wonder if I’m still holding something in.

While Tina has remained transparent about the abuse, Ike has partially acknowledged his actions. In his biography, he wrote:

Sure, I’ve slapped Tina. There have been times when I punched her to the ground without thinking. But I never beat her.
