Tamar Braxton: I Wore Wigs Because My Husband Likes Blondes & Fair Skin [VIDEO]

Tamar Braxton says it’s a woman’s responsibility to change her appearance for her man. During her recent appearance on on the Steve Harvey Show, the panel was asked if they should change the way that they look for their significant other.

The singer and Braxton Family Values star says that she changed for her husband, Vincent Herbert. She explained that he loved blonde hair and fairer-skinned women, so she bought a million of wigs and wore them. See the clip.

Tamar received some backlash from those who disagreed with her. One person commented,

Nope, this is like when people say “all men cheat” because THEIR dude cheats and they stay.Just because you made a choice please dont put it on all women. This made me kinda sad. He should love you as you love him…..we accept so little …smh

However, another person agreed with her commenting,

@tamarbraxton I thought I was the only one who did this for their husband. Thank you it feels good to know that I’m not the only one. It’s frustrating to hear ppl call you stupid for wanting to do things for your husband. I don’t have friends and I’m not close to family just for those reasons. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t think it’s the part about doing things for your husband. Her comment makes it sound like she is in competition or that what she has to do to keep him. Not that he just like her hair a particular way. He should love whatever his wife is giving him.

What are these men changing for you ladies? I’m no sick of hearing about the things that women have to do in order to keep their men. You never, ever hear about the things that men have to do in order to keep their women. It’s not like making those changes gonna stop his no good ass from stepping out (not all but most).

Tamar doing too much… she didn’t only wear blonde wigs and wasnt just for him..she claimed to have vitiligo that’s why her skin looked bleached…. she wears wigs to cover her lack of edges and too cut back on further damage

Just stop it Tamar! Who cares! I am sick of seeing her on every morning show talking about her and Vincent. You have bad hair and ruined it over time by over processing, coloring and braids, and what not…stop blaming him for EVERY bad decision you made. I am over it…just divorce him and move on. Stop dragging him through the mud! You’re either in or out…if you’re in stay in and shut up. If you are out, divorce him and be done.

Women do try to be attractive for their mates or to compete to get men… Thats common what she is saying and its normal for a woman to want their man to feel like they are attractive.
