Tina Lawson Hilariously Reacts To Daughter Solange Twerking On Top of Car

Being the mother of Beyonce and Solange, two of the biggest names in entertainment, doesn’t stop Tina Lawson from being just like our mothers – concerned with a side of nosy!

After Solange was honored this week at the 70th Annual Parsons School of Design Benefit gala, she and her homegirl did a celebratory twerk, and took a flick for Instagram. Mama Tina hilariously commented on the photo:

Your mom will get you together no matter how grown you are!

Solange received the Parsons School of Design honor for

her notable contributions to the music and fashion industries.

She was presented the award by actress/reality star LaLa Anthony, and rapper Vince Staples. Solange commented:

I literally woke up w the biggest smile on my face…bursting at the seams with gratitude from this night. ENDLESS thank you to @missymisdemeanorelliott @erykahbadu @pharrell for the words u shared! they will echo in my heart FOREVER. there was so much love in that room during those moments, I couldn’t even believe it was real. im gonna continue to strive and live up to those words now. u all are my literal idols, u left the blueprint, and u taught me how to be me when I didn’t have the language or the tools…I’m eternally grateful…
to the students of @parsonsschoolofdesign you are ALL the real winners. You are all so exceptionally talented and I can’t wait to see you all out in the world to doing the incredible work you are destined to….students like Shanel Campbell@shvny, who I wore last night, who are truly continuing to shape and mold the way we see the world , being unafraid , disruptive, working through corcumstances and pressures and fears unknown to us ….and leading the way as the new faces of fashion music art and design…

Earlier this month on Maria Shriver’s show, “Architects of Change,” Miss Tina revealed details on the measures she’s had to take to ensure Beyonce and Solange’s wellbeing as young rising superstars. She revealed that she enrolled her daughters in counseling. She says:

My family was like ‘You’re going to make them crazy because they’re too young for you to take them,’ but I wanted Beyoncé to be sensitive to the fact that Solange had to deal with being a little bit in her shadow…It made her way more sensitive and protected, and they’re still fiercely protective of each other.
