Ja Rule and Ashanti hinted at a possibly doing a joint album together. Rule shared an image on Instagram of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, congratulating the couple on their newly released project, “Everything Is Love.” He also suggested he and Ashanti should get back in the studio together. He wrote,
Iconic….The Carter’s…..new album is dope!!!” @ashanti I think we should do one of these joint albums.

During the early 2000’s, Ashanti and Ja Rule were apart of a record label Murder Inc., which was owned by Irv Gotti. In 2003, it was revealed Murder Inc. was raided for its connection to drug distribution rings and money laundering. The pair have since gone their separate ways musically, but continue to perform some of their classic hits together.
