‘Luke Cage’ Star Mike Colter and Wife Expecting Baby Girl
Actor Mike Colter is about to add an additional dose of pink to his family. The star of Netflix’s Luke Cage, recently announced that he and his wife Iva are expecting a baby girl. She is six months along in her pregnancy. He explained,
We are feeling happy but a bit nervous as well. It’s a new member of the family. While it will shift focus for us again, Niles will probably be affected the most, so we are making she sure feels comfortable and excited with the change.
The couple are also parents to Naiella, 3, who they’ve nicknamed Niles. They were hoping to give their daughter a baby sister.
We actually wanted another girl so we are very excited.
They are still deciding on baby names at this time.
It consists of Iva suggesting baby names, while I shoot them down. I’ll know it when I hear it!
Colter and his wife met while attending while attending Rutgers University in New Jersey. He was getting his Masters degree in acting while Iva was studying for a PhD in comparative literature. Iva is an executive at Netflix and Mike plays the title character on Luke Cage who is buff and in great shape. During a recent interview, he joked that his wife is not that impressed with his buff body.
I’m still the guy who mostly leaves the toilet seat up and sometimes forgets to take the garbage out and says he’s doing to do things and doesn’t do ‘em.
Season two of Luke Cage is available to stream on Netflix.
Congratulations again to the happy couple.
