Cardi B Speaks Out After Surrendering To Police
Cardi B is speaking out after recently surrendering herself to police and it has nothing to do with her legal situation. Hours after she made headlines over the controversial incident, she celebrated her win on the charts. The former Love & Hip Hop star’s “I Like It” single with Bad Bunny and J Blavin has made Billboard Hot 100’s Top Single of the Week. Her “Backin’ It Up” collaborative track with Paridson has made a 20th chart entry on Billboard, while making the Billboard Hot 100. Posting these accolades she wrote,
BLESSED AND GIFTED! Thanks for your support!
As previously reported, on Monday she turned herself into a Queens police station and was charged with assault in connection with a brawl at a New York strip club. She is said to have had a meeting with investigators. Her lawyer – Jeff Kern – stated that
“We are aware of no evidence that she caused anybody any harm from that night”.
The alleged incident surrounds a fight that broke out in which chairs, bottles and more items were thrown, slightly injuring the bartender and another employee.
The alleged victims are Rachel Wattley, 21, and Sarah Wattley, 23, both of whom work at the strip club.
Cardi and her entourage allegedly fled, but she later agreed to turn herself in after being identified by the bartender. It is rumored that sisters Jade and Baddie were attacked because of allegations of an affair with rapper Offset, Cardi’s husband.
