Toya Wright Warned Reginae About Dating  YFN Lucci – “You know how I feel about dating rappers”

19-year-old Reginae Carter, the daughter of Toya Wright and Lil Wayne, has been dating 27-year-old rapper YFN Lucci for at least 7 months and although her parents haven’t shared how they felt about the relationship publicly, there have definitely been conversations behind closed doors.

In an interview in July, Lucci says he’s never received any pushback from Toya or Lil Wayne regarding dating their daughter. However, in a clip from T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, Reginae received some pushback from her mother. In the preview, Toya does not mince words when expressing her feelings about YFN Lucci.

I don’t like the age difference. I don’t like the fact that he have four kids because I mean you trying to be stepmom, honey?

Toya also brought up her feelings about Reginae dating a rapper.

You know how I feel about that whole rapper thing. I dated your daddy when I was younger than that and there’s a whole lot that comes with that lifestyle. And that’s the last thing I want or any mother want. 

Reginae assured her mother that she’s not worried about Lucci’s lifestyle because everywhere he goes, she goes. Toya had a response for that as well.

I used to go out of town with your daddy. I [went] to all these after parties and stuff, concerts, back to the hotel.
