RHOA’s Nene Leakes Husband Gregg Gets Teary-Eyed Talking About His Cancer Diagnosis
RHOA’s Nene Leakes Husband Gregg Bursts Into Tears Over Cancer Diagnosis
During the 10th season of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Nene Leakes’ husband, Gregg, was diagnosed with cancer. Cameras followed the Leakes family as Nene tended to her husband of 20 years as they traveled to the hospital in efforts to maintain Gregg’s health. In September, it was last reported Gregg was undergoing surgery in hopes of a full recovery in hopes of being cancer free. With the upcoming 11th season scheduled to premiere on Sunday (Nov. 4th), viewers will be divulging a little more into the new life of Gregg Leakes.
In a clip of the upcoming season, Gregg gets somber about his recent diagnosis during a conversation with his family, friends, and prayer group. He shared,
I guess the scariest part about all of this, when we got to the hospital and the doctor saying, ‘We need to do surgery on you tonight or you ain’t got make it.’ So, I went over and prayed to God and I told him, ‘If it’s time, let’s go.’ I don’t fear death, I don’t wanna go, but if my work is finished here, take care of them [family], let’s go.

Adding,
I wrote a note to my doctor, and I told him to give this to you if I didn’t come out. Writing that note was the hardest thing I ever did in my life. But, you never know what’s in you until you’re at that door. I never thought I had it in me, to fight cancer. Now, I’m gone beat cancer’s ass.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” return to BRAVO for their 11th season Sunday, November 4th. Check your local listings.
