Nicki Minaj is bringing a whole new meaning to “keeping it 100.” The superstar rapper just broke another Billboard record. Nicki is now the first female artist with 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in her career. Only four other artists have reached triple digits in Hot 100 appearances: the cast of “Glee,” Elvis Presley, and her Young Money crew – Drake and Lil Wayne. “Dip,” Nicki’s latest song with Tyga, marks her 100th entry. The song debuted at Number 83. Her first entry was on Lil Wayne’s song, “Knockout” in 2010, charting at No. 44.
This past March, Nicki Minaj broke another record. The “Barbie Dreams” rapper became the female artist with the most Billboard 100 hits. Aretha Franklin held that record for over 40 years! Nicki rapper about it alongside Future on the song, “Sir.” She said:
“I’m whippin’ foreigns to make ’em go faster
Miss Aretha, I think I just passed her”
