Nicki Minaj’s Barbz Demand Billboard Recount “Queen” After Billboard Announces 6ix9ine Won #1 Spot After Coming In 2nd To Travis Scott

Could the Barbz be ready to boycott Billboard? After news was released there was miscount for the #1 spot last week in the race between Travis Scott’s “ASTROWORLD” and Tekashi 6ix9ine’s “Dummy Boy,” Nicki Minaj’s fan base is demanding a recount from her August release.

In an internal email about the oversight,

Our team has done a deep dive and found the cause of the initial discrepancy. We’ve since then reprocessed the jobs necessary and re-finalized the charts. As a result, 6ix9ine’s “Dummy Boy” will be moving to #1… Our team is working quickly to identify the root cause of this discrepancy to ensure that we get it right the first time.

As the Barbz have attempted to launch a new campaign via their hashtag. They’re also adding their thoughts as to why they think Nicki’s 4th studio album, “Queen,” deserves a recount. Check out some of Barbz tweets below.

As some Barbz fork out valid arguments, one Twitter user mentioned how the Barbz should tread lightly on their wishes. They cited how Billboard explained how “ASTROWORLD” outsold “Queen” and got the #1 spot; noting a majority of Nicki’s sells came from her bundling her album with her concert tickets (which the U.S. leg was cancelled).

Billboard has confirmed there is an audit being conducted, and will announce any changes if needed. The organization has to yet to respond if they will be recounting Nicki and Travis’ week (Aug. 25, 2018)
