Cynthia Bailey Responds To NeNe Leakes Calling Her ‘Shady’: If She’s Really My Girl Like She’s Claimed To Be, Then We Could Get Past This 

As the 11^th season of Bravo’s hit series Real Housewives of Atlanta comes to a close, the real drama is what happened at the recently taped reunion and the subsequent shade thrown on social media. theJasmineBRAND exclusively broke the news that, as to why the RHOA star NeNe Leakes unfollowed practically all of her co-stars (with the exception of Marlo Hampton and Shamari Devoe) and the real reason behind her fallout with the cast—especially former bestie Cynthia Bailey and now Bailey has responded.

After the whirlwind of drama that developed during #ClosetGate, when NeNe Leakes was furious about RHOA cast members Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams going into her closet without permission, things spilled over into the reunion and Leakes has apparently washed her hands of most of the ladies in the cast. She’s posted a few videos to explain her side of things, but now one of those in her direct line of fire is telling theirs—Cynthia Bailey, of course.

Leakes previously said of her friendship with Bailey:

“As far as Cynthia is concerned, you’re gonna have to watch the finale to see what it is that she does. Going a step further, you guys only see a very small part of our lives. Cynthia has done a lot of stuff in my opinion on the down low, and very sneaky and underhanded. I’m just telling you the truth… She has done a lot of stuff that you all just don’t get to see on the show that’s underhanded and I always come out looking like the bad guy. I don’t have no hate in my heart for Cynthia. We are coworkers from this day forward. I don’t have any reason to not speak to her. I’m happy to speak to her. But anything else further than that, it’s not gonna happen. We are coworkers. After 11 seasons, I finally realized that these girls are my coworkers.”

Bailey, while at a recent event, was asked about where things stand with Leakes from her point of view and she stated:

“I have nothing bad to say about her. I hope that we talk about it and work through it … I think we can. I hope we can move past it.”

She continued to add, while noticing that Leakes was wearing a pair of her sunglasses from her Cynthia Bailey eyewear line in one of her videos, her hope for the future with her and Leakes:

“I’ve always been a friend to her, and if she’s really my girl like she’s claimed to be my girl then we could get past this. But I noticed she was wearing my eyewear, though, so I need to tag Cynthia Bailey eyewear. I appreciate that. It’s good when we support each other even when we’re mad at each other.”

Bailey also acknowledged that she didn’t come away from the reunion looking squeaky clean and hinted at some of her messiness:

“The reunion is crazy. I look a little crazy. It just got a little bit tricky for me, but I just own my truth, and said what I had to say. But it’s going to be a good reunion. I’ll tell you that.”
