Toni Braxton Went Along W/ Birdman Breakup Rumors For Privacy
Toni Braxton admits she went to extreme lengths for more privacy in her engagement to rapper Birdman. While he’s made appearances on her family’s show, WeTV’s Braxton Family Values, it’s safe to say she didn’t want the public knowing too much about their romance.
She confessed in a recent interview that when rumors swirled that the two had broken up, she certainly didn’t attempt to shut them down.
“We don’t know what happened. It just kind of (came out of nowhere). Someone said it and we were like, ‘OK, we’ll just ride with it because it’ll give us some privacy’.”

As for their actual status, Braxton said,
“We’re good.”
Interestingly enough, breakup speculation sparked when Birdman posted and deleted this cryptic message on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Birdman also spoke out about their relationship amid reports they split during a recent appearance on Wendy Williams. He commented,
“Where did you get that from? Social media I guess. Me personally, I’ve never been a man that put no energy into social media. “It was fake. I don’t know how this sh*t took place but for real, I would never be a man to bring none of my business to social media.”
He continued,
“If she had or will have any problems, I have enough money were she’ll never have a problem.”
