Offset Reunites With His Father After 23 Years

Offset’s weekend is off to a good start. The rapper made amends with his dad and shared the special moment on social media via an emotional video of the two of them hugging. He wrote,

“DREAMS DO COME TRUE
HAVENT SEEN MY FATHER IN 23 YEARS !!!!!! AND I STILL LOVE HIM
THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE PRESENT IS ALL WE HAVE TO RELY ON WE NOT PERFECT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM I LOVE YOU POPS !!!

He added a snapshot of he and his father posing, pointing out the undeniable resemblance.

Offset’s wife Cardi B also commented and showed her support.

Offset opened up about his broken relationship with his father in February. He said they hadn’t talked since he was 12. Once the rapper got famous, he tried to help his father with his living situation and offer him money, but his father refused to take it.

“It just started to make me upset. I’ve reached out and you’ve slapped my hand. You slapped my hand when it wasn’t even out. You didn’t even come back to put anything in my hand. So now I feel like you don’t have any respect for me. You’re still running and you don’t have to.”

Still, he said if his father ever needed him, he would be right there.

“If my daddy called me right now. I’d get on a jet, buy him a house, give him a million dollars, and I won’t talk to him for another ten years. At least I’d know he’s straight.”

Offset has made it clear he is all in when it comes to his own children. His dished on his latest album, Father Of Four, before it was released earlier this year.
