Kurtis Blow’s Heart Surgery ‘Was A Tremendous Success’
Hip-Hop legend Kurtis Blow revealed his relief on social media, after having successful heart surgery. Earlier this week, the 59-year-old was hospitalized for a heart related issue and asked fans to pray for his recovery. He wrote on social media:
“I trust that God will use him as a tool of success tomorrow. Please keep me in prayer. I will see you all soon!!!! Encouraged!!! KB”

On Thursday, Blow updated fans on his condition post surgery for an aortic artery repair. He explained:
“Hello my family and friends. The surgery was a tremendous success- Praise God!! Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes!!! Wow!!! I am so humbled by all the love!!!! To God be the Glory!!!! God Bless you all!!!!”

The procedure for Blow’s heart will stabilize the artery from further damage caused by the hematoma.
In 2016, during a family dispute, the rapper suffered a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles. Fortunately, as Blow went into cardiac arrest, the police were in the area and soon after, paramedics arrived and rushed walked to a hospital.

Blow tells reporters after his heart attack in 2016 he could have died without the aid of police being on scene.
“They got there so fast. If they got there any later, I would have died. I want to thank the officers from the bottom of my heart, no pun intended.”
We will keep Kurtis in our prayers!
