EXCLUSIVE: Offset – Fan Who Says He Smacked His Cell Phone Out Of His Hand, Has A History Of Filming Rapper Without Permission
Additional details have surfaced concerning Offset’s (real name Kiari Cephus) phone-slamming incident. Recently, the 27-year-old Migos rapper made headlines when a warrant was issued for his arrest for smacking a phone out of the hand of Junior Gibbons, a high school senior.
Sources tell us that Gibbons has a history of filming Offset without permission. Here’s alleged footage of Offset being recorded by Gibbons. In the clip, the rapper can be seen ordering food from a drive-thru window, while being recorded.
We’re also told that Gibson posted the video to social media and contacted media outlets long before calling the police.
Sources claim that he waited four days to call police. In addition to these claims, in a separate interview, the victim allegedly said that he thought Offset was going to throw up gang signs.
As previously reported, Gibbons spotted Offset in Target in Sandy Springs, Ga. and said,
“What up Offset.”
Offset walked up to him and reportedly slapped his phone out of his hand. The fan’s mother posted the incident on Twitter.
“This is how
@OffsetYRN reacted when my son saw him at target. When he wanted to take a video of the rapper he smashed his phone out of his hand”

The mother later added,
She then called out Offset for bullying her son.
Reports also said the rapper told the boy to get the phone out of his face. Ultimately, the mom said Offset broke the screen and wanted him to replace it. He hasn’t responded to news of that yet, but in the meantime, police are looking for him as it relates to the incident, according to reports.
At the same time, Offset is facing a felony gun charge after being caught with a weapon in a traffic stop last summer.
