Floyd Mayweather Didn’t Make 2019’s Forbes’ Richest Athletes List
Is Mayweather running out of money? Outside of his athletics abilities, boxing champion Floyd Mayweather is known for flaunting his wealth. From cars, to jewelry and clothes – the leader of “The Money Team” is the modern day Richie Rich.
But, unfortunately, he’s being surpassed in talks of the world’s richest athletes. In fact, Floyd Mayweather wasn’t listed in any of the 100 slots on Forbes’ highest paid athletes of 2019. The top spots belong to international soccer stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and professional Mexican boxer Canelo Álvarez. Russell Wilson and LeBron James made the top 10.

However, remember Floyd Mayweather warned us not to count his pockets. In January, he posted this cocky Instagram video, flaunting his massive diamond watch collection. He said:
“You know what’s crazy? People are always in my f*cking business, worried about what I’m doing – what Floyd is doing, what Floyd ain’t doing, what I do got, what I don’t got. Just know, I’mma stay in my lane. I ain’t gon’ f*ck with nobody, and I don’t want nobody f*cking with me. If I go on vacation- my fault. If I go on paycation for 30 days, I take 30 watches with me.”
He continued:
“But you know what? You know what? What’s crazy is this. If we add 10 more days, I take 10 more watches. But then I say, ‘F*ck it.’ If I wanna bring out the one and only, I bring out the watch that costs 18 million. Matter of fact, you know what I’mma do for you motherf*cking haters today? I’mma go f*ck on $50,000 ’cause I ain’t got nothing else to do. Money May all motherf*cking day.”
