Kash Doll Says She’s Experienced Colorism For 1st Time – This Guy Wouldn’t Clear My Beat Unless I Get Another A Lighter Complexion Woman On The Hook!

Kash Doll is one of the latest artists to experience colorism in the industry. She revealed her moment on Twitter and wrote,

“It’s crazy i remember saying i haven’t witnessed Colorism just yet in the industry… well it happened! This guy don’t even wanna clear this beat Bc of my skin tone or unless i get another woman on the hook that’s a lighter complexion… just wanted to share that with u guys”

Her tweet came just after rapper Tory Lanez shared a video of a dark skin woman being removed from a scene of a video shoot and replaced with a lighter-toned woman.

Interestingly enough, Kash Doll said back in September that she didn’t believe in colorism because she hadn’t experienced it yet.

She also referenced Oprah Winfrey as being a successful Black woman when she was compared to Cuban Doll and Dream Doll.

“Lol Cuban and dream are not bigger artist than me… secondly i believe in God and his timing.. i will not let Society make me believe my fine a** skin tone is the reason I’m not as big of an artist….Oprah is black! Anything is possible be positive! I had legal issues love”
