Kim Kardashian Trademarked ‘Kimono’
Kim Kardashian West launched a shape wear line called Kimono Solutionwear and the 38-year-old reality star has filed a trademark for the word ‘kimono’. The kimono is a traditional Japanese garment. The word kimono literally means
“thing to wear on the shoulders”.
The mother of four announced the shape wear line on social media, writing:
“Kimono is my take on shape wear and solutions for women that actually work”
The word kimono has previously been trademarked by others. Kim’s “Kimono” trademark is currently under review, along with “Kimono body”, “Kimono Body”, “Kimono Intimates” and “Kimono World”.
Kim’s line runs in sizes XXs to 4XL. The trademark has already began to garner some backlash. See some social media reactions below.
