Saweetie Throws Epic Bay Area Block Party For “My Type” Video [WATCH]

“That’s my type!” The “Icy” rapper, Saweetie took over her hometown roots around the Bay Area for her new video ‘My Type.’ The 26-year-old joined forces with her Bay Area friends, including Kamaiyah and Kehlani, as she throws an epic block party with twerking while sitting on a basketball hoop, entertaining dice games and a display of gold grills.

Saweetie’s visual for her hot summer anthem was directed by Daps, who added a perfectly mix feel for the energetic track with lots of sexy dance moves by Saweetie and her girls with the fashion to match.

For her video, Saweetie says she was inspired by her childhood and wanted to express the way her hometown gets down.

Her hit “My Type,” which is featured on her ‘Icy’ album released in March, samples the classic 2004 Petey Pablo hit for ‘Freek-a-Leek.’
